Service for immigrants

Our services for immigrants consist of social services specifically designed to support you and your family as you settle into your new life in Finland.

We also provide aftercare pursuant to the Finnish Act on the Promotion of Immigrant Integration for young people aged between 18 and 24 years who arrived in Finland as unaccompanied minors. We help you to find your place in Finnish society and lead an independent life. We also answer questions related to studying and employment and provide support through aftercare and social services.

The process starts with a needs assessment to identify which services might benefit you and which forms of support would best promote your integration.

We have a multi-professional team that can also help you with mental health and substance abuse issues. Each local authority runs its own integration service and provides general guidance and advice on integration.

How does it work?

General guidance and advice for immigrants is provided by local authorities.

You can call our advice and guidance service for working-age people or contact a member of your local immigration services team directly.

Who is it for?

The service is designed for refugees and other immigrants living or residing in Central Uusimaa, who were issued their first residence permit no more than three or four years ago (integration period) and whose needs assessment shows that they need help from social services.

Keusote’s immigration services team coordinates the provision of social services for victims of human trafficking as well as the provision of urgent social care for immigrants who do not have a residence permit (undocumented migrants).
